Facebook page is a great modern social platform for the business and public figure profiles. These days it is a must for every business/web site/app to create their facebook pages to market any sort of thing.

As we know, facebook offers its users to create a vanity URL for the personal profiles and the facebook pages (for e.g. http://facebook.com/arfeen). But to set the vanity url of a page, facebook restricts you to do so until your page gets atleast 25 likes. After that you are able to set the vanity url of your page.

There is another way if you want to set the vanity url of your page from the day you created your facebook page, so that, your unique facebook page url could not be copied by any other user. To do this you would have to follow these following steps. Remember, you will have to do it for the page you are going to create, not the one you have already created!

Step 1: Sign up as new user on facebook. (You can change first/last name and other info later)

Step 2: Set a vanity url for this personal profile by going to the URL http://www.facebook.com/username, set a username for this profile, remember, this name would be used for your facebook page, so be careful to select as there is only one chance to do it.

Step 3: Since facebook has offered an option where you can convert the personal profile into business page, you will do it now. Go to this URL https://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php?migrate and select the category of your facebook page and convert it to a business page.

Step 4: You are done! Your newly created personal profile has been converted into facebook page, since it is a newly created page, there will be only ’0′ likes, but you have already got the vanity url of your facebook page . To access this page as admin, you will have to login on to facebook with the username/password you used to signup this account as personal profile.
